Michael Jackson died because of his own bad choices involving the drug that killed him and the doctor, who provided it, not because of anything done by AEG Live, concert promoter's lawyer told jurors on Wednesday.
During the trial of the wrongful death lawsuit brought by Jackson's mother, Katherine, and three his children, the lawyer asked a jury to find the late singer responsible for his death, not the concert promoter, CNN reported.
The AEG Live lawyer argued that Jackson should take the full blame for his death as it was caused by his choices and it would have happened no matter what, with or without the concert promoter.
Meanwhile, the Jackson family lawyer urged jurors to award the family between 1 billion dollars and 2 billion dollars in damages for its share of liability in Jackson's death.
