One of Michael Jackson's close friends has claimed that the late singer was responsible for his own death, as he "called the shots" and did not care about his health before he died in 2009.
Top choreographer Kenny Ortega, who was the co-producer of Jackson's 'This Is It' tour, was giving evidence in the wrongful death lawsuit brought by the Jackson family against concert promoter AEG Live, the Daily Star reported.
While answering a question asked by the AEG lawyer, the former dancer told the Los Angeles court that adults are responsible for their own health.
He said that it was the King of Pop's responsibility to tell AEG executives about his deteriorating health and it was the concert promoter's duty to hire a fit and competent doctor to care for him.
However, Ortega felt that the firm was very supportive in doing all they could for Jackson's London tour.
