Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Prime Ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, contributed to girl education by auctioning the gifts he has received from various sources on Friday.
The gifts included gold and silver artifacts, chariot, watches, mementoes, medals, metal and wooden handicraft, photo frames, swords, traditional and tribal attires.
A visitor, Aarti, said that by doing this, Modi is fulfilling the purpose with which people gave him those gifts.
"I feel that the purpose with which people present gifts to their honourable Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, is being fulfilled in its true sense and whatever amount is collected from this auction, will be used for the education of girls and this is really good," said Aarti.
Reportedly, Modi has been regularly donating funds and contributing to the development of society since 2001.
In the last few years, Modi has contributed in crores to the Kanya Kelavani, a programme being floated by his government for the education of girls in Gujarat.
