Modi bids farewell to Gujarat Legislative Assembly as Chief Minister

Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi, on Wednesday got emotional while bidding farewell to the legislative assembly of Gujarat.

During his farewell speech, Modi said bipartisanship is the Gujarat model.

"Modi's success does not lie in development but it lies in the fact that journey of development will continue with great speed from now. I have full faith in all the members that they are determined and will take Gujarat on the path of development with great speed," said Modi.

Praising Gujarat's model of development, Modi lauded the efforts of the legislators.

"People across the country and the world always ask and are curious about the Gujarat model. I have learnt a lot in the Gujarat assembly," added Modi.

Modi met the President yesterday to officially stake claim to form the next government at the Centre. He will be appointed as the Prime Minister of India on May 26th.
