Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader M. Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday said Gujarat Chief Minister and party's election campaign committee chairman Narendra Modi will address maximum public rallies across the country in run up to the general elections in 2014.
Naidu said the BJP had identified the places where Modi would address the rallies.
"Narendra Modi will go around in the country in whirlwind tour to address maximum number of rallies. We have identified the places also," Naidu said.
"In the coming days up to the elections, I will be focusing my energies on these major five activities - rallies, Lok Sabha conventions intelligentsia-allied get together, friends of BJP in the country and outside the country," he added.
The BJP yesterday announced an 11-member campaign committee headed by Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi and 20 campaign panels to deal with manifesto drafting, vision document, new voters and media management among others.
BJP leader Ananth Kumar, who announced the list of 20 campaign committees, said they will be steered under Modi's leadership.
Kumar said senior BJP leaders Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Lal Krishna Advani and party chief Rajnath Singh will oversee the functioning of central poll panel, which is headed by Modi.
