Vanessa Williams has revealed that the molestation she suffered at age 10 made her more sexually promiscuous and more sexually curious at a younger age than she should have been.
During an appearance on Oprah's Master Class, the 51-year-old singer said that one night the 18-year-old daughter of her friend's family came into the room where her friend and she were sleeping, told her to lie down on the floor, took her bottoms off and went down on her, People Magazine reported.
Williams, who has also discussed the incident in her memoir, 'You Have No Idea', said that she knew it felt good, but also something that was not supposed to be happening.
She said that at that young age, having that happen to you in your body, it awakens your sexuality at an age where it shouldn't be awakened, and that she thinks had that not happened in her life, and she had an opportunity to have a normal courtship with a boyfriend at 16, there wouldn't have been that shame that was always haunting her.
