The Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted that North India can expect monsoon after July 14.

MET (Meteorological) Department scientist A. K. Bansal said Saturday that there will be heavy monsoons after July 14 in several parts of North India.

Bansal told ANI, "After July 14, monsoon rainfall will be there in North India which will lessen the humidity and ongoing heat waves. The weather is bad because certain western disturbances are not passing."

"Weak monsoon was predicted earlier causing the heat waves. After July 14 there will be consistent rain for two to three days," he added.

Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan have been the worst hit areas this season, where the temperature has touched 47 degree Celsius, which is five degrees above normal.
