Modern men are embracing the hairless look and are opting to wax despite the pain, it has been revealed.
Eight Mile Plains local Daniel Haddadi told the Courier Mail that he started to wax his chest hair for body building competitions but decided to keep it up after feeling better about his appearance.
He said that the cleaner look is hygienically better.
The 39-year-old said that it took at least a year to get used to the pain of waxing but after several years he was used to the procedure.
Westfield stylist Sara Hatten-Masterson told the publication that more men were going for the hairless look to complete the popular well-groomed look.
According to her, it's got to do with high profile role model guys like David Beckham and Daniel Craig who all have a hair-free chest and these are men that women go crazy.

Hatten-Masterson said that guys are a lot more attuned to fashion than 20 years ago.
Brazilian Beauty Teneriffe coordinator Elle Warner said the number of chest waxes for men in her salon had doubled in the past five years.
