South African all-rounder Chris Morris has said he will be banking on the experience gained during the recently-concluded Indian Premier League as he prepares for the upcoming Caribbean Tri-nation, which will also feature Australia.

Although Delhi Daredevils didn't manage to reach the last four in the IPL, Morris delivered powerful performances with the bat at the death and offered good support with the ball.

Commenting on his IPL campaign, the 29-year-old insisted it was a good campaign for him on a personal level and that he would take a lot of confidence from it while heading into the upcoming 10-match ODI tour, Sport24 reported.

Morris further said that he has always seen IPL as a great opportunity to groom himself as a person and as a cricketer.

The right-hander, who made his debut against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy in 2013, has appeared in only 11 ODI matches.

Expressing his desire to become a regular in the format, Morris admitted he has to put in a lot of hard work in the upcoming series in order to prove himself as a genuine all-rounder and to cement his place in the national side.

South Africa will play their first match against West Indies on Friday at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
