A CNN poll has revealed that most Americans are against defaulting on the country's debt over Obamacare.
According to the results, 51 percent said that it was more important for Congress to raise the debt ceiling, while 43 percent of the respondents said that it was more important to delay Obamacare.
56-38 percent Americans believe that it would be a 'bad thing' to default on the debt, and about 53 percent said that they would blame Republicans if the debt ceiling was not raised, the Politico reports.
Out of those surveyed, 31 percent would lay the blame on President Barack Obama if the maximum borrowing power of the US government isn't raised while 10 percent would blame both.
The Treasury Department has said that the US will reach the debt ceiling Oct. 17 unless it is raised, the report added.
