Even as rumours of a move to Real Madrid for Welsh striker Gareth Bale become rife, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has once again told the player that he will not be sold to the club regardless of his new low in their dirty tricks campaign and is in talks to sign a new deal.

According to the Mirror, the battle for the brilliant Welsh winger, now rated at a staggering, world-record 103 million pounds has taken an explosive new twist with the Spanish press claiming Bale has already told Levy he wants out and an 81 million pound offer from Real Madrid has just been rejected.

The report said that Spurs responded by insisting that the 24-year-old superstar is in talks to sign a new deal.

Boss Andre Villas-Boas said that there was contact between the club and his agent last year and there is ongoing contact between the club and his agent.
