Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has admitted that no one, including himself, who is managing a Premier League club can feel safe in their job as they can be axed anytime.

Mourinho is reportedly hoping to become the first Chelsea boss under Roman Abramovich's era to survive despite failing to deliver any trophy, given the fact that the Russian sacked former boss Carlo Ancelotti just an year after he delivered the first Double in the club's history.

However, as Mourinho prepares to submit his hard-hitting recommendations about the players who should stay and go, the Portuguese suggested that even he lives in the shadow of being sacked anytime, the Mirror reported.

Mourinho said that he works for the club and he is not the club, so he does not have that security, adding that nobody has that security in football unless someone is in a special situation.

The former Real Madrid boss said that David Moyes got sacked just 10 months into his job at Manchester United despite signing a six-year contract at the club, so in football now, there must be something really special between manager and club, or the manager must really be something special to be at a club for five, 10 years.

Mourinho added that he is not saying that he has that security to be at the club until the end of his contract or beyond that, but he just tries and proves that he can do his job and the current job at Chelsea is different than in previous years.
