New Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has quipped that he and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich are ready to 'marry again and be happy and successful', as the two buried the hatchet after an acrimonious 'divorce' six years ago.
Mourinho, who has been Chelsea's most successful manager, has claimed that his 'love' for Abramovich and Chelsea meant that he had to return to Stamford Bridge and take the Blues back to the top, the Mirror reports.
Stating that he has a 'fantastic' relation with the owner and the club, the Portuguese said that he is proud to be back, adding that he agreed to join the club again in just five minutes as it was an easy decision to make.
According to Mourinho, he is very demanding of himself and will need the support of Abramovich and the team to start again from the grassroots level, adding that he needs to work hard and build a different team from the team that he built in the past.
Mourinho further said that he wants to have that pressure on himself as if it is his first time in the club, adding that although he has signed a four-year deal worth 10 million pounds per year, he insisted that it was about the bond he has with the Chelsea fans rather than the financial rewards.
