In a major reshuffle in the party organisation, BJP President Amit Shah appointed three vice-presidents and general secretaries and four secretaries on Wednesday.
The most significant appointment was of Kailash Vijayvargiya, a cabinet minister in Madhya Pradesh Government, who has been made the general secretary.
"I am fortunate to get a chance to work with a strong leadership. It is a matter of great privilege. We will form government in Bihar. We will contest with full potential and win in the upcoming elections," he told ANI.
According to reports, former party general secretary Om Mathur has been appointed vice-president, Shyam Jaju has been elevated to the position of vice-president from the post of secretary and former Punjab BJP president Avinash Rai Khanna has been appointed vice-president.
Shah had announced his first team for the party organisation in last July after taking over as party president.
