President Pranab Mukherjee will undertake a three-day visit to Madhya Pradesh from June 6 to 8.
During his visit to the state, Mukherjee will lay the foundation stone for Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University at Bhopal on June 6. On the same day, he will also attend the 8th Convocation of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya and inaugurate the tribal museum in Bhopal.
On June 7, the president will inaugurate the Shankaracharya Netralaya at Jhoteshwar, Narsinghpur. This Netralaya has been established by the Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati Charitable Trust for providing medical facilities for tribal population of the region.
On the same day, he will attend the first convocation of the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University at Amarkantak. This university was established in 2008 with aim of providing avenues of higher education and research facilities primarily for the tribal population.
On June 8, Mukherjee will attend the first convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore.
