Sudhindra Bhadoria, leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), has said that the statement given by Samajwadi Party (SP) president Mulayam Singh is an irresponsible one.
Mulayam Singh Yadav had reportedly said that there were no communal riots in Muzzafarnagar but only a conflict between two individuals.
Speaking to ANI, Sudhindra Bhadoria said, "It is very shameful that Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav who is the president of Samajwadi Party has made such an irresponsible statement".
He also said, "Over 100 000 people were rendered homeless in Muzzafarnagar, over 100 people have died in this communal conflict, even honorable Supreme Court of India took cognizance of the tragedy which happened in Muzzafarnagar".
"For Mulayam singh to speak like this, only speaks of the mindset that they do not value the lives of the people living in Uttar Pradesh. I think that Mulayam Singh has lost all sensibilities about communal harmony and people living together", he added.
"All I want to say is that the Government of Uttar Pradesh should not give such irresponsible statements", he finally said.
