World number two Andy Murray continued his good performance by beating Frenchman Richard Gasquet in the Cincinnati Masters quarterfinals.
The 28-year-old claimed a 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 win to advance to the semi-finals.
The British number one admitted to being sluggish at the start, and added that he struck the ball better as the match went on, the BBC reports.
Murray will now square-off against Swiss second seed Roger Federer, who also made it to the semi-finals by defeating Spain's Feliciano Lopez 6-3, 6-4.
World number one Novak Djokovic also claimed 6-4,6-1 victory over his opponent Stan Wawrinka.
Djocovic will now face Alexandr Dolgopolov for a berth in the final.
