Defending US Open Champion Andy Murray has reached the quarterfinals of the men's singles event at the Flushing Meadows, after he beat Uzbek Denis Istomin 6-7, 6-1, 6-4, 6-4.
Murray now faces 9th seed Swiss player Stanislas Wawrinka in the quarterfinals, and if he gets through, he is likely to set up a clash with World No. 1 Novak Djokovic.
After losing the first set, the Scot came back into form to win the second set easily and then won the next two sets to survive a slight scare.
