Murray 'deliberately boring' in interviews to stay away from 'controversial aftermaths'

British tennis ace Andy Murray has revealed that his interviews are deliberately 'boring' as he does not want to deal with any controversial aftermaths.

Murray's admission comes as Latvian tennis player Ernests Gulbis branded Murray and other leading players like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are 'boring' and give 'boring' interviews, the Mirror reports.

Murray said that it is difficult to open up and let loose his emotions in press conferences or interviews, adding that although he tries to give honest answers, they tend to turn into boring answers for his fear of creating any scandals.

Stating that his only job is to try his best to be as good as he can be, the British number one said that it should be irrelevant to a player as to whether he is liked or not, adding that he has found it difficult to open up and be a bundle of laughs in press conferences or interviews.

According to Murray, it is not possible to find out the real character of a person from just viewing him or her on TV, as it is very easy to be false and fake and joke in front of the camera.

However, he said that it is harder for a person to be truthful and tell things like they are in front of the camera, for which he deliberately keeps his interviews 'boring' and non-controversial.
