Wimbledon Champion Andy Murray has said that he feared his victory was all a dream but was relieved to find out after waking up that he had actually done it.

According to CNN, Murray termed his last year loss to Federer as the toughest loss of his career, adding that it was the first time he responded well following a Grand Slam defeat, going on to win the Olympic gold medal and the US Open later.

The Scot said that he had worked hard during that period and if he had not recovered from it, it could have gone the other way, adding that he was glad he did not have to worry about it any more after winning Wimbledon.

Murray ended the 77-year wait of British fans to see a player from the country win at the All England Lawn Tennis Club, with his victory over World No.1 Novak Djokovic last Sunday.
