Recently retired tennis star Elena Baltacha's cancer news has reportedly shocked Andy Murry, but he believes that she can beat the disease.
A long-time British number one Balatcha, who retired last year in November, last week announced that she had been diagnosed with liver cancer.
According to News24, Murray said that he was shocked to hear about Baltacha's cancer from his mother Judy, who remains very close to Baltacha, a couple of weeks ago.
The Wimbledon champion said that he has known Baltacha since they were young children adding that it was shocking to hear about her cancer as she is so young and anyone would expect her to enjoy just a 'nice happy life'.
Murray further added that life is very 'unfair' as Baltacha just got married, but he also said that Baltacha has got the right attitude, as his mother told him that Baltacha has been unbelievably positive after finding out about her disease, the report added.
