Minutes after Britain number one Andy Murray scripted history by winning the Davis Cup for his country after a long gap of 79 years, wishes began pouring in from British icons as well as tennis fraternity.
The 28-year-old defeated Belgium's David Goffin 6-3 7-5 6-3 to give the visitors an unassailable 3-1 lead in the best-of-five tie.
World number Novak Djokovic used microblogging website, Twitter, to extend his wishes, saying that the Briton thoroughly deserved the win.
"Congrats #teamGB on DC win! @andy_murray Seeing ur reaction after winning made me relive again how it was 4 us in '10.Well done, u deserve it," tweeted Djokovic.

British Prime Minister David Cameron also congratulated the whole team for winning the title for the first time since 1936.
