Former Pakistani President Parvez Musharraf has clarified that he only gave the green signal for 'one' U.S. drone strike during his time in office.
According to The Nation, Musharraf is believed to have authorized the drone program during his term.
Musharraf said that he gave the permission only once after evidence against a prominent militant group was shown.
He also admitted that nine drone strikes were carried out during his tenure, claiming that he gave a nod for the drone strikes only once.
He asserted that he believed in democratic rule but said that democratic rule similar to that in the U.S. and UK cannot be implemented in Pakistan.
