Former Pakistan president General (retired) Pervez Musharraf has asked his close aides to make efforts for getting the support of seasoned political figures and social leaders.
The move from Musharraf comes in a bid to rebuild his own image and revive his party.
According to the Nation, close aides of Musharraf said he has asked them to contact veteran politicians to gain their support for rebuilding his personal image and resurrecting his party.
They told that Musharraf had dissolved all the organisations of the not-so-significant All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) party sometime back and appointed four provincial administrators, media coordinators and a chief organiser in an effort to keep alive the party.
Some other close aides of Musharraf said they would start the process by approaching such politicians first as are not part of active politics but enjoy much recognition in the political arena.
They said they would also contact the sidelined political leaders of ruling and opposition parties.
Musharraf founded the APML while he was in self-exile in London in 2010.
