Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf's trial has reportedly cost the country's exchequer a whopping Rs 57.2 million, according to the budget document.
The Express Tribune reports that budget documents have further revealed that over Rs57 million has been sought by the Interior Division and the Law, Justice and Human Rights Division for the establishment of the special court and miscellaneous expenses.
The Pakistan government has spent Rs 20 million on its legal team in the high treason trial.
The country's Interior division has reportedly spent Rs 49.5 million on payment of fees and contingency and other expenses during the high treason trial.
Meanwhile, the costs mentioned in the budget documents do not include expenses incurred on security, the report adds.
