Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari on Monday, asked people to revisit the entire episode of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30, 1948, the trial of which he termed as an open and shut case.
"Well, I think the best way to possibly adjudicate this issue would be for people to revisit the entire trial into the assasination of Mahatma Gandhi. If somebody revisits the trial and looks at the testimonies and reads the judgement. The facts speaks for themselves. The logical thing would be to read the transcript of the trial." Tewari said
Earlier, the senior Congress leader slammed the opposition for unnecessarily trying to influence people against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi over his statement that the Rashtriya Sawamsevak Sangh (RSS) was responsible for killing Mahatma Gandhi.
