Varun Dhawan, known for his chocolate boy image feels his role in upcoming film 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' is quite different from his own personality.
The 29 year-old, recently spotted in a promotional event of the movie said, "It felt really good while doing this. After a long time, I am doing a role which is different from the real me. The director did a lot of work on my role."
The 'Badlapur' star also shared how the kids born and brought up in big cities do not know about the traditions of smaller cities and how he saw the film in a different way after all the research.
"Many of the kids, born and brought up in big cities like Delhi or Mumbai or are from different statuses, we do not know about their traditions. After all the research, I started to see the movie in a different perspective. Badri is one of the most unlikeliest heroes," Varun said.
On a related note, the Shashank Khaitan directorial, 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' is slated to release on March 11, and stars Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.
