World number one Rafael Nadal is reportedly not intending to make any changes to his schedule despite being hampered by a back injury while losing the Australian Open final to Stanislas Wawrinka on Sunday.
The Spaniard is due to compete in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro next month before travelling to the United States for Masters series events in Indian Wells and Miami in March.
According to Sport24, although the 13-time Grand Slam champion received extensive treatment for the injury during the four-set encounter against the Swiss on Sunday, however, after undergoing tests on his return to Spain, a spokesperson confirmed that he will continue his upcoming planned tour of North and South America.
A statement said that Nadal has undergone an extensive round of anti-inflammatory medical treatment as well intensive physiotherapy, adding that his next checkup will take place on Monday.
