Rubbishing reports of Narsingh Yadav testing positive for a banned steroid, his coach Jamal Singh on Sunday alleged it to be a conspiracy against the Rio Olympics-bound wrestler.
Jamal said that Narsingh has always been honest, adding he has never consumed any banned drug.
"I have been training Narsingh Yadav from past 15-16 years; he hails from a very poor family. And the way honestly he has wrestled throughout his life, my heart is not ready to believe that he consumed any sort of dope. I am his personal coach and I know that he does not take dope. I live with him, he believes in taking healthy diet," said Jamal.
"He is a wrestler, he was supposed to fight for our country and win, but he was being pressurised from all quarters. He will never do anything of this sort. This is a conspiracy against him," he added.
The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) conducted a random dope test on Narsingh on July 5 at the Sports Authority of India's (SAI) regional centre in Sonepat.
The report of his 'A' sample test came out positive. Later, he was called for his 'B' sample test, which also returned positive.
