Nasir Hossain produced a sparkling all-round performance as Bangladesh A claimed a 65-run win over India A to level the three-match unofficial ODI series 1-1 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday.
Put in to bat first, Bangladesh A were reeling at 82-5 before Nasir (102) lifted his side from a precarious situation by smashing an unbeaten century. The tourists set a respectable 253-run target within their allotted 50 overs.
In reply, India A looked on course to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series as they were 119 for one in the 28th over. However, Nasir claimed a five-wicket haul to dash the hosts' hopes of sealing the series.
Nasir returned figures of 5-36, including those of Unmukt Chand and Suresh Raina and also received substantial support from Rubel Hossein, who claimed four wickets to help complete the rout and force a decider.
Captain Unmukt Chand was the top scorer for India A with 56, while Manish Pandey scored 36 as the team were eventually bundled out for 187 in the 43rd over.
The third and deciding match will be held on Sunday at the same venue.
