Bollywood's first superstar and the heartthrob of '70s Rajesh Khanna, who succumbed to cancer last year at the age of 69, was remembered by his family and fans on his first death anniversary on Thursday.
On this occasion, his family kept a private prayer meet, which was attended by close relatives at his Mumbai bungalow, 'Aashirwad'.
The late star's fans gathered outside his bungalow and paid their homage to their superstar.
As a tribute, Channel UTV Stars has announced that a statue will be erected at the 'Walk of the Stars' at Bandra Bandstand Promenade, Mumbai.
The brass statue will immortalize one of his iconic poses from his films and will be unveiled by the actor's family amongst well-known names from the industry.
