The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) will celebrate its 30th Raising Day at the CRPF Officer's Institute, Vasant Kunj.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju will be the chief guest.
The NCRB is an agency responsible for collecting and analyzing crime data of entire the country. The NCRB is mandated to empower the Indian Police with information technology for its modernization.
It provides the investigating Officers I.T. tools, technologies and information to facilitate faster and more accurate investigations of crimes and criminals for prevention and detection of crimes.
The NCRB is also entrusted with responsibility as national agency for publishing the "Crime in India", "Prisons in India", "Accidental Deaths and Suicides in India" missing persons and unidentified dead bodies, Anti human trafficking, and "Fingerprint in India".
The NCRB is also having significant scientific and technology sections like Central Finger Print Bureau, Motor Vehicle Data Centre and Training Division etc.
The NCRB will showcase its achievements and inform various stakeholders about the steps taken by it to enable a better and lawful society.
