Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reportedly stressed that the country wants peace and was not involved in any arms race.
During his visit to the National Command Centre (NCC) of the National Command Authority (NCA), Sharif said that Pakistan's strategic capability was based on the policy of credible minimum deterrence.
According to the Daily Times, Strategic Plans Division (SPD) Director General Lt Gen (r) Khalid Ahmed Kidwai highlighted the fact that the NCC was a highly secure and a fully protected facility.
Sharif was given a demonstration of the state-of-art connectivity of country-wide strategic assets which was an exclusive network ensuring effective control over the strategic assets by the NCA, the report added.
