A delegation of leaders from the Nationalist Congress Party called on former prime minister Manmohan Singh at his residence in the national capital.
The delegation comprised of NCP chief Sharad Pawar, general secretary Tariq Anwar and senior leader Majeed Memon, among others.
Earlier in the day, Memon said that the NCP's policy on the Land Acquisition Bill is along the lines of the stand taken by other opposition parties, adding that the ordinance contains certain provisions which are not to their agreement.
Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi are likely to lead a march from Parliament House to Rashtrapati Bhavan to protest against the NDA Government's Land Acquisition Ordinance later in the day.
Along with the Congress, reports said leaders of the Janata Dal (United), Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party, CPI (M), DMK, INLD and some other parties will participate in the protest.
