Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president Ram Vilas Paswan on Saturday claimed that the NDA would topple the 'unholy alliance' of Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav in the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls.

Paswan, who met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah here, said that they had discussions as to how the NDA can jointly campaign in the elections so that the unholy alliance of Nitish and Lalu that has betrayed the people of Bihar and pushed the state towards 'jungle raaj' can be exposed.

"We will win the elections by a three-fourth majority and form the NDA Government in Bihar," he told the media here.

The LJP supremo further said that former Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi will be of great help to the NDA in the upcoming polls.

"Nitish Kumar had insulted the Mahadalits and tried to create a divide among them. Even the Dalit community knows the true colours of Nitish," said Paswan.

"The selection of the chief ministerial candidate will be decided by (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. There has been no discussion on seat sharing. A decision will be taken after the announcement of the elections," he added.

Asserting that a strong alliance is needed to defeat the 'Janata Parivar', Manjhi had earlier this week announced a tie-up with the BJP for the Bihar elections.

"In Bihar, an unholy alliance between Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad has been formed...I spoke to Amit Shah in this context. We have to work together to prevent Lalu and Nitish from coming to power," Manjhi told reporters after the 30-minute meeting with the BJP chief on Thursday.

The coming together of RJD, JD(U), Congress and NCP presents a very formidable challenge to the NDA which also includes Upendra Khuswaha's Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP).
