It is indeed a proud moment for Sonam Kapoor and the 'Neerja' team as the movie has now made to 'The Economist' in their list of 'What The World Is Watching.'
The 31-year-old actress took to her Twitter handle to share the link of the website and wrote alongside, "The economist has covered Neerja and covered the success of Neerja. The only film from India in their spotlight."
The article on 'Neerja' in the magazine says, "After years of news stories about victimised women, India has an appetite for female heroines. Neerja tells the true story of a 22-year-old flight attendant murdered during a 17-hour stand-off when Palestinians hijacked a plane during a stop in Karachi in 1986."
"She may have saved the lives of 359 passengers and crew by keeping the plane on the runway. Her family think her bravery will inspire the youth of today. The enormous box-office takings suggest they are right," it added.
It also includes 'Weissensee' TV series from Germany, 'Isibaya' soap opera from South Africa, 'Nirvana in Fire' TV series from China and others.
