Manchester city has made 59 goals in 15 home games this season following their impressive 6-0 win over West Ham United in the semi-final first leg of the Capital One Cup on Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium.
The game resulted in the travelling West Ham fans turning their fury on manager Sam Allardyce as they suffered a second cup humiliation in a week, despite the public support of the manager by co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan.
According to the BBC, City dominated from the beginning with Alvaro Negredo scoring a hat-trick with his goals in the 12th, 26th and the 49th minutes, followed by Yaya Toure adding another before half-time and Edin Dezeko added two more to complete West Ham's misery.
Negredo's treble was the centrepiece of another dazzling attacking display by City, who have effectively secured a place at Wembley by making the second leg at Upton Park a formality, the report added.
