Nepal, India ink 3 agreements to bolster bilateral ties

India and Nepal on Friday signed three agreements, including new dollar credit line agreement of USD 750 million for post-earthquake reconstruction.

The other two agreements include MoU for project management consultancy services for upgradation/ Improvement of Road infrastructure in Tarai of Nepal and first amendatory dollar credit line for post-earthquake reconstruction projects in Nepal.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Nepali counterpart Pushpa Kamal Dahal witnessed the signing of agreements ceremony.

Prime Minister Dahal was earlier accorded a ceremonial welcome at the forecourts of the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

He held talk with his Indian counterpart and is scheduled to hold talks with President Pranab Mukherjee.

The visiting dignitary arrived in New Delhi yesterday.

On his arrival, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met the Nepalese Prime Minister.
