Nepal keen to welcome Chinese President Xi: PM Dahal

Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal said on Tuesday that he is keen to welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping in Kathmandu this year.

Dahal made the remarks as delegates from China Institute of Contemporary Relations met him at his official residence in Baluwatar.

In a statement issued by the Dahal's personal secretariat, the Prime Minister conveyed the Chinese delegation that during Xi's visit he is looking for building sustainable bilateral relation between both the countries, reports the Himalayan Times.

The Chinese delegation told Dahal that Beijing is willing to build a strong relationship with the Nepal, and ready to support Nepal Government in post-earthquake reconstruction and big projects.

Chinese President Xi is expected to visit Nepal in October. He is scheduled to attend a BRICS Summit along with the heads of state/government of Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa from October 15 to16 in New Delhi.
