Nepali Parliament will on Thursday take decisions on crucial legal provisions related to education, banking, procurement and regulations to guide its own business
Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli- led government is also preparing to table the Economic Survey, the first since the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal, reports the Kathmandu Post.
Three crucial bills related to education, banking and procurement will be tabled for the endorsement today, while budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2016-17 will be presented on Saturday.
Sudarshan Kuikel, Deputy Spokesperson for the Parliament Secretariat, said that the Parliamentary Committee on Finance will table the bill for the Bank and Financial Institution Act (Bafia) while the Parliamentary Committee on Women, Children and Social Welfare will present the bill on eighth amendment to Education Act-2017.
Other committees are also going to table their bills.
If the Bafia Act is endorsed, it will help reduce banking crime as it has set stringent measures to curb banking and financial offences.
