The Supreme Court of Nepal on Monday has ordered the release of journalist and Sajha Yatayat Chairman Kanak Mani Dixit who was detained by the anti-graft body CIAA on April 22.
A division bench of acting Chief Justice Sushila and Justice Jagadish Sharma Paudel ordered the CIAA to release Dixit after conducting a hearing on the writ of habeas corpus filed by Dixit's wife, reports The Himalayan Times.
Kanak Mani Dixit's brother Kunda Dixit, apparently suffers from hypertension, is going back to the Intensive Care Unit of Bir Hospital.
