Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to visit China on a five-day visit beginning June 19.
This is Prime Minister Oli's second foreign visit since assuming office on February 15.
On May 17, the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu had formally proposed Oli's visit to China.
According to Kathmandu Post, apart from Beijing, the Chinese side has proposed that Prime Minister Oli visit both the Sichuan Province and the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong toured Tibet in connection to the visit. She met with the Foreign Secretary Shankar Das Bairagi in Kathmandu last week to discuss the itinerary and agenda of the visit.
During his previous visit to China, Prime Minister Oli signed the Transit and Transport Agreement. A protocol for the deal is due to be signed this time.
