Netaji's daughter-in-law says UP will never vote for 'communal forces'

Training guns at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav's daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav on Tuesday asserted that Uttar Pradesh will never vote in favour of communal forces attempting to divide the society.

Aparna, who will be contesting against BJP's Rita Bahuguna Joshi from Lucknow Cantt, said, "There are parties that encourage communalism but we believe in secularism and we want to stop them through this alliance."

Aparna, who is the wife of Mulayam's second son Prateek, said the Uttar Pradesh polls has always played a significant role in run up to the general election.

"This election will lead to landslide victory for the SP-Congress and we will form the government in the state," she said.

Uttar Pradesh will have a seven-phase polling between February 11 and March 8.
