New Zealand Prime Minister John Key arrived here on Tuesday for a three-day long state visit.

He has been delayed by a day in his visit to India after the Air Force Boeing 757 carrying him and 80 other passengers broke down in Townsville.

He was to arrive in Mumbai yesterday and deliver a key note address at an event organised by Bombay Stock Exchange in association with the Chambers of Commerce.

He was also to meet with the Governor and Chief Minister of Maharashtra and attend innovation showcase event to celebrate innovation in New Zealand-India business partnerships.

However, his Mumbai plans had to be scraped.

During his stay in New Delhi, he will hold one-to-one meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi followed by official delegation level meeting to discuss growing bilateral relations.
