Lieutenant General (Retired) P.N. Hoon on Saturday termed the report filed by the Border Security Force (BSF), regarding the Chinese army providing training to the Pakistani forces as a 'very serious' matter.
"As per the initial report by the Border Security Force (BSF), the PLA is training the two Pakistani brigades deployed in the Rajouri sector. It is not clear whether the Pakistani troops are getting trained in China or in Kashmir, or whether ammunition or information is being imparted," Lt. Gen (retd.) Hoon told ANI.
"If the Chinese are entering the Pakistani side of Kashmir and are constructing roads and infrastructure, then it is a matter of great concern. We need more information before we can pin down as to what is actually happening," he added.
Lt. Gen (retd.) Hoon further said that the talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping would not affect the Chinese army.
"The Chinese People's Republic Army (PRA) doesn't take orders from the government of that nation. After Prime Minister Modi and President Xi held talks, it took the latter close to five days to pull back the PLA from the Ladakh sector," he said.
Earlier in the day, the BSF intelligence reported that Chinese troops are training the Pakistani Army in the Rajouri sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
