The National Investigation Agency (NIA) along with Jharkhand Police on Monday recovered nine live bombs during a raid in the Hindpiri area here.

The bombs have been brought to Morabadi stadium to be diffused.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Saket Kumar Singh confirmed that nine live bombs have been recovered, and they had detonators attached to them.

"There was a team of special branch along with Ranchi Police. We were enquiring many people. There were some people who were missing before Patna blasts, and we looked for their whereabouts. We got to know that they used to live in a lodge in Hindpiri, and we searched the lodge. Upon searching, we saw that the bombs found here were matching those used for Patna blasts," he told media here today.

"We searched further with the help of Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) team, and we got to know about nine live bombs. We cannot say that it is beyond risk because detonator is still there, and we are considering them as live bombs only," he added.

The joint operation of the NIA and the state police raided a lodge in Ranchi where they found live bombs.
