Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitin Gadkari was not a politician but a businessman who struck deals and exploited money of the people of the country.
"Nitin Gadkari is not a politician but a businessman who strikes deals," said Kejriwal, addressing a rally in Nagpur.
"All these leaders have been feeding on your money. Praful Patel used to sell beedis, and today he is flies in his airplanes. Even Gadkari used to ride moped, and now has big cars. It's due to the exploited money of the people of this country," he said.
He further said that BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's claims about Gujarat's development were a bunch of lies.
"What I saw in Gujarat was shocking; these development talks and boasting about the progress in the state is all a bunch of lies," said Kejriwal.
"In the last 11 years, 60,000 small-scale and medium -scale industries have shut down in Gujarat," he added.
