Continuing his tirade against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday highlighted the issue of 'special status' to Bihar and alleged that the former has miserably failed in fulfilling the promises made to the nation.
"When he came to Bihar, he said that he would give 'special status' to Bihar, give special assistance and pay special attention. But so far, nothing is visible in this regard. In fact, the minister said in the Parliament that there is no point of giving special status to Bihar,' Nitish said at a media briefing.
The Chief Minister also took a jibe at the Centre over the delay in implementation of the One Rank, One Pension scheme.
Nitish had yesterday said that special status to Bihar was essential as the state is in the development mode.
"Discourse of accusation must make way for discourse of change, progress and improvement," he told the media during an interaction named 'Breakfast with CM'.
