Is Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar using Prime Minister Narendra Modi's digital magic or dream to lure the substantial youth bank of his state to his cause in the run-up state assembly elections to be held later this year?
It certainly seems so, considering the escalation in the war of words between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Janata Dal-Janata Dal-United (RJD-JD-U) alliance.
Kumar has not hesitated to pick and ape some of Modi's winnable ideas. For example, he says when launching his digital dream, "I'm Bihar", much in the style of Modi.
Just as Modi captured the imagination of a young India in 2014 with his promise of digitising the nation, Kumar is doing the same with the youth of his state. He is particualrly targetting those voters who haven't decided yet on whether to give another chance as the state's administrative head or not.
RJD-JD-U alliance soureces here claim that Kumar and Lalu will announce free Wifi in all colleges and universities in Bihar, including those established in the rural and urban areas.
Nitish Kumar has already begun an aggressive election campaign via Twitter.
