Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Chirag Paswan on Saturday said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is violating established government protocol by not accompanying Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bodh Gaya today.
"In India, we have a federal structure and, when the Prime Minister visits a state, specially for a government programme, then the basic government protocol says that the chief minister of that state should also accompany him(Prime Minister)," Paswan told ANI here.
"If the chief minister is not accompanying Prime Minister Modi, then it only shows that he is bringing his ego in between and is afraid of the outcome of the Bihar elections after witnessing the impact of four major rallies addressed by Prime Minister Modi," he added.
The Prime Minister will visit the Mahabodhi Temple and the Holy Bo Tree. He will also inaugurate the Exhibition "Chetiya Carika: The Pilgrimage and Quest for Truth.
